7/23/2018 Week 38: Having A Blast As Always!

Another week has flown by. Hello everyone. This week was semi eventful but also not necessarily anything big really. We had a lesson every day this week which was good. I am currently writing this email on Sunday instead of Monday, this is because me and my companion help a member with a little service activity putting something on his car. And while putting on this steel contraption part of it swung down and hit my companion in the head so he is resting right now waiting for the swelling to go down a bit. It's nothing serious, he is fine, I just don't want him to be working hard in the humid weather and some how possibly have it get worse. So while he is resting I thought that I might as well start getting my email done and ready for tomorrow since we were invited to a branch picnic. It's gonna be fun, have a couple investigators planning to go. But yeah that is everything "big" that is happening. It rained for the first time in 3 weeks on Friday. The were tornado sirens and news of tornados hitting ground in areas near and around me so that was fun. We stayed at the church and did things like companionship study, and had scripture study night with the members while everything was happening. I tend to feel safer in the church building rather than at home in those  situations because, 1. It's a dedicated building so it is blessed, 2. It is structurely sound and safe, and 3. It's not our house. The sun is back out today though. I put a post on Facebook, most of you saw that.

7/16/2018 Week 37: I Like Trains

Good week. But pretty average. The only really exciting part was we had a lesson yesterday with a guy we haven't seen in about a month. But I got some good pictures of me and some old trains which was pretty cool. It hasn't rained in 2 weeks so I am pretty happy abut that. But it's also been over 90 degrees plus humidity this whole week. Also I have my little email writing station set up again as you could have seen from last week's pictures. I am probably going to take a nap after I finish emailing because I have been pretty tired this week. My belt broke yesterday so I had to buy a new one today. It's nice and it fits. No investigators at church yesterday which I understand because some where out of town and others had family in town. Our branch presidents kid was baptized and I got be apart of the confirmation. Which was fun and a great experience. Also we had interviews with our new mission president which went really well. I like him, he is really nice and taught me a bunch of stuff in just a ten iminute talk with him and got to know each other. I need to get a picture with him because I don't think I have sent a pictures of him. Anyways I need to start my email to him. Talk to yall later. Bye!

7/9/2018 Week 36: Aren't Ya'll Them Normans

I hear people say Normans so much. Hello everyone. This week was interesting I guess. The corn has indeed grown to double my height as in the picture below. This have been going great otherwise so there is not  much to complain about. Waiting on my companion to go to the church so I can send these emails. I have been having a good time over all. I was a little sad on Saturday because we would have had a baptism that day but they just want to take things a little slower. Which is completely acceptable. But I have heard a lot of news from a friend this week about a family member of theirs who I talked to finish reading the Book of Mormon. In a month. That is a testimony to me that this is true. The Gospel truly is for everyone. i am currently eating chicken and dumpling soup right now in an air conditioned building so basically life is good. Me and my companion had a long talk yesterday about how much we loved our last area and how thing would be different if we were still there, but wue still agreed that our current area is pretty amazing. Also we got a new ward mission leader and he is pretty cool. Not the best I`ve had but still pretty good. Saturday was a blast. A member invited us over for her birthday so we got to hangout and play some sports and eat some hamburgers. Also I think I have become a big fan of McDonalds double cheese burger no onion and extra pickles, but the last time I went (which was Wednesday) one of my burgers they put like a handfull of pickles on it which was discusting but humorous because there was more pickles than there were patties. Also thank you mom for sending the package. I got it this morning and I am using the bluetooth Keyboard for the first time and it is a lot faster. Also there are a lot of tanks and canons in New Castle so the majority of my pictures here will be me infront or on top of a tank or Canon. Most of my pictures were taken today so excuse the recreational clothes we were going to go play some sports after email. That's about it for this week. Talk to yall later! Bye!

7/2/2018 Week 35: Welcome To The Indiana Indianapolis Mission

I am you host Elder Moore. Also hello from New Castle. This week was semi-eventful. The best thing is now I can email everyone on my list. Also happy soon to be American day. I don't have much stuff that is red white and blue but I got a lot of blue. I am having trouble thinking about what to write this week like every good author I am trying to stay positive. (that might not be true). Bad news first. Our investigator who was on date for the 7th dropped us because an old friend stopped by and shared the well known not adding to the scriptures verse in Revelations. Which is stupid because his friend is a pastor and doesn't know the meaning or where that verse fit in the time line. The book of revelation was written before Paul was even an apostle. It talks about the book of revelation. You can't change revelation. I hate pastors. But I need to forgive him. Bible belt am I right. But that was a sad time. But we still have one investigator who will be baptized this month hopefully. Also it's been 90 degrees all week here and that doesn't include the additional humidity. But we found someone yesterday who wants to come to church on Sunday. Which never happens in this area so that's something to be super excited about. Also my new mission presidents name is President Carlson. Nice man and I excited to serve around him. I am running out to things to say so I am just going to end my email here. Talk to yall later, bye!
