12/24/2018 Week 60: What Kind Of Cheese Goes To The Gym?

Shredded Cheese. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE!! This week was fun. 1308 E Alto Rd. Apt. K118, Kokomo, IN. This week was a good amount of cleaning and introducing myself to investigators, A typical first week I guess. We live on the 3rd floor of our apartment complex so we also have climbed stairs a lot. I think that the most notible thing that happened this week is that we volunteer at the YMCA to help old people. Its pretty fun, we are there for encouragement and to pick someone up if they fall. But other than all that we tracted and tried finding. I have also eaten about 2 dozen eggs this last week because i am lazy and dont want to make anything that I have to stand next to and watch so I have had plenty boiled eggs. Also our ward had a giant stocking to fill for us and it was pretty heavy. (pictures below). But other that all that its been a pretty normal week. Talk to yall later.

12/17/2018 Week 59: Where Can You Buy 36 Inches?

A Yard sale. I am now officially out of joke. This week was interesting I guess. I do know I am being transferred to Kokomo. So excited to have a Walmart in my area  again. We also had Zone conference this week and my companion was really stressed about having the cleanest car because we could get a prize. We lost. But thats what happens when you share a car with an area that doesn't have paved roads every where. very muddy. But I am even more excited because I am getting to have a permanent car in my next area since its huge. I also made an amazing dinner a few days ago. It was a hot dog, fries, chili, cheese, and pepperoni all wrapped in a tortilla. I could feel the cholesterol flowing through my veins. Also a few days before Zone conference we were called to go to Fishers to help at zone conference with the cars. We checked the tire pressure and wheel depth and judge which car was the cleanest there. It was cold. Some cars were very clean and others were not. I also had to give a talk yesterday. That was fun. I still dont like to give talks but it is what it is. Hopefully my next one will be my homecoming talk. Well that's all for this week. Talk to yall later. Bye!

12/10/2018 Week 58: What Do You Call It When An Octopus Asks For Forgiveness?

A Cephalopology. Hello everyone. This week was an interesting week. The biggest highlight of this week was a Christmas party that our branch had for the senior missionaries as a goodbye party before they go home. The best part was that we had 2 investigators here and it was a really good experience. Unfortunately we were trying to have a lesson with one of them before the party and the members kept interrupting by trying to talk with us and the investigator. I would have never thought that people could be so nice that it became a problem. The other investigator was happy because she was nervous about bringing her son and it took less than 2 minutes for that kid to make friends with all the other kids. It was awesome. But I will say I am sick and tired of ham and turkey. I have had too much and all we have in our fridge is ham an turkey. Then yesterday we had stake conference yesterday and we had Elder Smith from the area 70 come and give a talk. I enjoyed it, but this is my second stake conference in this stake and don't want to be negative or anything but I would like to possibly leave this stake next time I transfer. I have served back and forth in this stake for 8 months. But if I don't move then I will deal with it but its okay to have some hopes. but other then that it has been a normal week of finding and talking and all of the sort. But ya that all for this week. I don't have any pictures again from this week. I'll try to get more pictures next week. talk to yall later, bye.

12/3/2018 Week 57: Why Was The Cell Phone Wearing Glasses?

Because he lost his contacts. Hello everyone how are you all doing today. Good. This week was interesting, so on Monday we switched the car since the missionaries who are serving there were picking up a missionary from Fishers and because a trio. We also decided to have exchanges from Monday night to Wednesday morning which was a little stressful but still fun. We switched back at interviews and then drove home. Then a couple of days ago we met Santa walking down the sidewalk and we were able to talk to him for a little while. Also this week was the week that they turned on the Christmas lights in town. It was awesome and pretty cool looking. It also turns out that for a while Elwood was known for being Christmas USA until 2006 when a bunch of companies left. Apparently it competed with the Christmas lights at temple Square in Utah. But now the people here are either retired and are too lazy to move or can't leave because they don't have enough money to leave. Some houses here go for less than $50. They aren't the best shape but we have a member in our branch that bought his house for $10. A lot of our free time went towards us cleaning. On Wednesday we helped a member cut a bunch of tree branches that fell during a storm in the church parking lot and move it. I found a little part of one of the branches and I took it and carved it into a tiki. Yesterday was a great day. We have a mission fast and it felt like it really helped yesterday because yesterday we were riding our bikes and we were going by this apartment complex that had a big no soliciting sign. Even though we don't solicit we didn't know if we should try knocking on the doors. Ultimately we ended up praying to know whether to do it or not and we felt like we needed to. We didn't finish knocking all the doors but when we left we had 4 new investigators, and shared the unique message with 20 people when our goal was 10. So all in all it was definitely a good thing that we went in. Then last of all I got a haircut today. I liked it. That's all I have for this week, talk to you later. Bye!

11/26/2018 Week 56: Why Do The Greeks Not Like Mornings

Because dawn is tough on grease. Hello everyone sorry fo the later email this week. I have been getting distracted all day long. This week was a great week. I had 2 Thanksgiving dinners, one on Thursday with a member and one on Saturday that was complete unplanned with people who are now investigators. We knocked on the door and the husband answered saying he is an atheist and then his wife popped her head out the door and invited us in to eat with the family. It was awkward but fun. We also got the Christmas tree out and stuff, it's early but we are using it to actually have light in our apartment. Also I have started building a Bible so that's pretty cool. It has all the books and everything I am just gluing it together to make a big book. Today is gonna be busy because we a picking a missionary up from the mission home and having exchanges tonight so yeah. Exciting. But unfortunately that's all I have this week. Bye.

11/22/2018 Week 55: I Heard There Was A Pretty Emotional Wedding

Even the cake was in tiers. HAPPY TURKY DAY EVERYONE! May blessings of full stomachs and even more full refrigerators come your way. Sorry I didn't email Monday, today is p-day this week so yeah. Last week was our week to bike seeing as we have to share a car again. There were too many cars in the mission so they had to take some away from us. But we got the car back yesterday so it's all good. It felt like this last week has been more cold than normal. That's my luck. But at least my legs are getting buff right? We do have thanks giving plans today thankfully so I will be eating to my hearts content, except for salad because we just received an E. Coli warning yesterday from our mission nurse that says not to eat it. Wasn't planning on it but okay. Yesterday was fun also because we had exchanges with the Muncie elders and I had a great time sounded like miracles we flowing all day yesterday in these 2 areas. I also found a massage chair in the Muncie apartment and they let me have it so I am living the life. I also slept on a memory foam mattress last night so I am pretty happy with everything right now. We weren't able to teach much last week unfortunately since we didn't have the car but we definitely have been finding a lot. Anyways I hope you all have a happy holiday. Talk to you soon, bye!

11/12/2018 Week 54: What Did The Baseball Player Do When His Pay Was Cut?

He went on 3 strikes and had a ball. Hello everyone. How are you today? This week was an interesting week. As you know we had transfers this week and I received Elder Fullerton as my new companion. He is a great missionary. We were actually in the MTC at the same time which is pretty cool. He left a week before I did because the different missions have different transfer schedules. I will say it has been a big learning curve because I am not used to the rules in this mission. It's not anything I would be against but it's different and when something changes it takes time to adjust. I have learned a good amount from him and I hope he is learning a little from me. This week was a good amount of finding. I can say I am enjoying it more and more. We have also started doing service at a place in town recently. I like it but it seems like one of the people who volunteers there doesn't like us all that much. But we will warm up to him. We are very persistent. This is a very interesting area, the longer I am here the more I grow to like it more.
There is one thing unfortunately happened this week. Our car was taken and now we are sharing a car with another set of missionaries, but there is a positive because the car we have now is a 2017 Toyota Rav 4. I like that car. It is very nice.
Also I got a free bike from a missionary but it was basically destroyed so I fixed a lot of it. I lowered the handles (bike was not made for my height), switched the seat (the seat was bent and warped), I changed the tires completely(tires were bent as if they were ran over by a car), changed the pedals (because the were loose), and put brakes on it for the tires I am using(tires belong to a different bike but was the same size). Thankfully we had a old bike on our deck to take parts from. I didn't use the old bike because a lot was missing. I liked to fix it though, it was very calming.
Last of all I wanted to include a spiritual experience. Yesterday we were trying to make our daily weekly goal to teach 4 and our daily goal to find 10 people to share our unique message with. My companion had the idea to fast for 4 hours so we could find a family. We talked about it for a bit and we decided to fast to find a family of 5 and to finish our weekly and daily goal. So we prayed and went. Within 15-30 minutes we found a family of 12! So we continued to find and we finished our goals with 2 hours before we went in. I guess the thing I took out of this experience is not to count out the options. God is gonna help no matter what and all you need is faith for miracles to flow. If you exercise your faith he will do the rest.
That's all for this week. Talk to y'all later. Bye.

11/5/2018 Week 53: What Instrument Does A Virus Play

The Flu-te. Fair warning that was my last joke so if there isn't one next week then that means I couldn't come up with any. Hello everyone who reads these. This week was an interesting week. Also happy late Halloween. I guess its time to celebrate Christmas. We had a normal day on Halloween for the most part. Apparently the people here also go trick or treating on the 30th too so I was thrown off when we were walking around and I saw 3 small power rangers walk by. We weren't aloud to be out when the trick or treating started so we just stayed inside and studied. I had a little fire in our grill outside. Not enough to be dangerous but enough to be warm from it. It was relaxing. Then after that it was a pretty normal week. Did finding, did some teaching. Then we had Zone Conference on Friday which was fun. You will realize that most the pictures were me teaching. It looks like I know what I'm doing. It was fun. We were practicing teaching the 2nd lesson because practice makes perfect. I like to teach its fun when you know what you're talking about. Then on Saturday we got our transfer call. I am staying and my companion is leaving. I thinks he is ready to go since he has been in this area for 8 months. My new companions name is Elder Fullerton. Sounds like a cool guy seeing that all I know about him is what others tell me. I am excited to get to meet him. That's really all I can think of for this week. Like always if anybody has any questions just email me but other than that there is not much else. Talk to yall later. Bye.

10/29/2018 Week 52: How Do Construction Workers Party?

They raise the roof. Hello everyone who reads these. How was your week. Mine was good. We went finding a lot but we also had a few lessons in between which was sweet. We also did an activity with the youth. We did a missionary Q&A because we have 2 people in our branch with there mission calls. One of them had their farewell talk yesterday. It was really good and a lot better than the one I gave. It was about Christ like attributes. We also had an investigator at church. We had been struggling lately to contact them and they haven't come lately so it was refreshing to have someone come. The temperature has dropped recently so I have been layering up. And I feel weird about it because it's only 45°-50°. We also had exchanges and I was with Elder Cloward for it. It was pretty fun and he is a great missionary. Then on Thursday we had dinner at a members house and they made one of my favorite meals so that was probably the highlight of my week. Also they just gave permission for us to use an app that helps us sleep. And I have been sleeping a lot better recently. So that is making happy. Also I got some ear plugs recently and I enjoy them too much. The reason is because lately there has been a lot of noise outside our apartment complex and just other loud noises so now I have sought relief. I also made a tie this week. There are no pictures of it yet because it's not completely done. But when it is finish I will take pictures. I made it out of an old shirt since I have nothing else to make it out of. But other than that that is my week. I don't have any pictures to send. Talk to yall later then. Bye!

10/22/2018 Week 51: Why Did The Pepsi Employee Get Fired

He got tested positive for coke. Hello once again. This week was kinda boring since I got the Flu. Yep. As a missionary I can honestly say that being sick is the worst because its not like being sick at home where you can find many things yo occupy your time. No you just have the church movies you have watch 5 other times to occupy you. But its not all bad because it makes you really appreciate the scriptures. But of course since I got sick there won't be many pictures. But I did take a picture of the awesome pajama shorts I found in the apartment. Your welcome. Anyways that's really all that happened this week. Sorry this email is so short. Talk to you later. Bye!

10/15/2018 Week 50: Why Was The Archeologist Sad

Because his life was in ruins. Lol. I make up these jokes when I am bored. I am running out so I need to come up with more. I hit my year mark on Thursday! I didn't do anything to celebrate since it was Thursday. We just helped do stuff at the church most of the day since stuff was happening there. It's hard to believe I have been out this long considering it feels like I just left the MTC an hour ago. It's been a good year. I have learned a lot but on the other hand I feel like there is still a lot I need to learn. I wouldn't give up this time for anything. This week was a good week and a sad week also. For the fourth time on my mission I have been to a funeral. I am kinda scared about that because I don't know if it was their time to go or if God is preparing me for the future. I probably am just over reacting. I have also been very tired this week for some reason. But I will get over it. It seems like everyone is getting sick. Thankfully I have been able to avoid it but my companion still has a slight cough from it. I am in a branch in this area. Good area. Smaller than I would like. I feel like we are running out of ideas. This week was also a little slow because we have been doing a lot of finding and it's always the same reply when they answer. "I already have a church". Then there is the time when people try to prove you wrong with scripture they don't understand. But people were a lot nicer this week. So I am pretty happy. I think it's because they feel bad that we are out because the temperature dropped this week. People have even let us in to warm up. We had a hail storm this week. It was pretty cool since I have only been in one. Also they are starting to harvest the corn so it looks a lot bigger and open. Not so cramped. It's nice. I love driving around the never ending fields. I need a hair cut. My hair feels too long. It's been pretty chilly here recently. I love sweater weather. I did get my package. Thank you for all that stuff. We only have a dollar general here that we can shop at for groceries and there is not much. Usually we get fed 3 time a week. That's all for my email this week. Talk to you later.

10/8/2018 Week 49: What Happens When You Eat Too Much Alphabet Soup

You may have a serious vowel movement. Hello once again. This was an interesting week. So it started with my companion, Elder Topham getting sick. He threw up Wednesday morning and so we stayed in all day. I did a lot of reading that day. Being sick as a missionary stinks. There is nothing to do but read and watch some really strange movies that the church released in the 90's. That's it. Then on Friday we had the opportunity to go to the temple. Beautiful little building and I hope to go again soon. Then of course there was general conference. And that was a good experience. We spent it all at the church. So we pulled the couches in and watched in comfort rather than the plastic chairs they have. The week was interesting also because my companion lost his voice so when we finally went out I was the one talking a lot. Since he couldn't talk over a whisper. But we did teach a lessons so that was good. But that was my week. Talk to you soon.

10/1/2018 Week 48: Why do boats in Norway have bar codes on them?

So when they come to port, they can Scandinavian. ðŸ˜€. Hello once again. This week was pretty interesting seeing that I have already been in this district before. So this week had a lot of this to do in other areas. So our car when I got to the area was having problems with cooling the engine. So we popped the hood and checked the amount of coolant we had and it turned out there was none to be seen. So this caused the car to start over heating when we would go up or down a hill so that was a problems since we had an interview for baptism for some investigators being taught by the sisters in our district because my companion is the district. So we went and did that and went home after because we didn't have enough time to get the coolant changed that night so the next morning we drove to a town outside of our area to a dealership that had what we needed since it took a specific coolant. They finished refilling and we got a cap put on the coolant tank because that was why we were losing so much coolant so fast and was hazardous because it is a big fire hazard. Right after we got it filled we went to the Marion area to help the Elders there with a family history booth because they were having a James Dean festival. It was unsuccessful. We talked to one person. And we were there for an hour and a half. Then we did a lot of tracting until Saturday. Saturday morning we went back to Anderson for another interview for their investigators. It was a family of 4 and they did most the interviews back on Thursday and we did the last one a few days later. The family was baptized later that night. We didn't go because our Branch was having a Hog roast and talent show so we went and helped the branch. It was such good food. One of the families in our branch does it each year and its always a great turnout. We don't have computers in our church building so we have to use the computers at the local library. I don't like it. I won't be specific but my surroundings are really annoying. I will just have to deal with it and pray that it goes away. It work. Its gone now. Anyways I don't have much time since there is a time limit for how long I can be on the computer. So I talk to you later. Bye.

Also I didn't send the full address last time so:

No Pictures this week. I forgot. oops

9/24/2018 Week 47: Did You Know That French Fries Weren't Made In France.

They were fried in Greece...  . . Ha! Howdy everyone and good day to you all. Big news. I  am being transfered to Elwood, Indiana. The Address is 1775 Antler Ct. Elwood, IN. I have been there before for exchanges with the person whose gonna be my companion. Really tall guy.(Picture below) I will be there for a while I think, but who knows. We also had a mission tour this week. And we had Elder Hamilton from the Seventy come. I have an Interview with him it was pretty cool.(picture below). Then recently while we were driving an A-10 bomber flew by. Thats my favorite plane so I was pretty stoked. Other than that that was my week. We just did a lot of finding again. Talk to yall soon. Bye.

9/17/2018 Week 46: Why Do Cows Have Hooves Instead Of Feet

Because they Lactose.😂 Pretty good week. Very eventful. Yes! We had a baptism. After 4 months of hard work and prayers the hard work paid off with 2 people who I care deeply about coming to the waters of baptism. But I cant say it went completely smooth. The week was very stressful planning things like talks and stuff especially when we had 2 exchanges back to back this week. Then it was the day of the baptism and we had got everything ready and we had to baptize them. I baptized the husband. The problem is when he went under he went limp and I slipped while pulling him up and slammed into the back wall. He didnt need to be baptized again which was good. But we where joking around that we will never forget that moment. Then yesterday was the confirmation. That was pretty emotional for all of us. Glad I was able to be apart of it. I will be going to the temple with them in a year. But other than the baptism this week we had exchanges like I had mentioned earlier. We went on exchange with Winchester and with the zone leaders in Muncie. That is when I learned that they have a pet butterfly named Jerome, who I played with in my free time. I mean its a butterfly so it didnt really do anything other than flap its wings. Then last night I made a blanket fort. Thats my week. Talk to yall later. bye!

9/10/18 Week 45: What Noise Did The Plane Make When It Crashed...

Boeing. thats a funny one.😂. Interesting things happened this week. We had exchanges and I went to Connersville which was a fun area to proselyte in but the problem is that it was extra hot that day. Then we exchanged back on Wednesday at our weekly meeting and when we came back out after our tire was flat. So we changed it with the spare and drove back to our area. And we got it changed but we have a card that we use to pay for vehicle maintenance because our mission is doing a test program and the company that we got it changed at could use the card because there system was old so it was free. Then on thursday our landlord got us a new A/C so we installed it and I cut my hand on the back so now i have a bunch of lacerations on my hand so if you look up what the back of a window air conditioning unit looks like then you can tell what my hand looks like. Then last as Autumn sweeps the nation it is getting darker and me and companion had comp study in the dark and ominous room as seen in the picture below. But that is all for this week. This Saturday we are having a baptism for our investigators so that is exciting. Wish us luck. talk to you later. Bye.

9/03/2018 Week 44: Did You Here About The Explosion At The Cheese Factory?

It left a lot of de-brie. HUEHUEHUE. So funny. Hello everyone. This week was a fun week. The start of the week we had exchanges and I went to Richmond, Indiana. It was fun. I came back the  next day and started my week of with a day of tracting. I don't like tracting. Its too hot outside to tract but it has to be done. Then we tracted again for the next 2 days, until we had interviews. I  like President Carlson. Then we went back to tracting. Saturday was fun because we went to a car show with a member and she took a picture of us in her car which keeps winning the car shows, it was nice but I wouldn't own it. It was too small for me. Then we met with our investigators and they told us that the want to be baptized so we put them on date again for the 15th. Then yesterday we had dinner at a member of the stake presidency and those investigators came too. It went amazing. Good week but that's all. Talk too yall next week. bye.
