11/12/2018 Week 54: What Did The Baseball Player Do When His Pay Was Cut?

He went on 3 strikes and had a ball. Hello everyone. How are you today? This week was an interesting week. As you know we had transfers this week and I received Elder Fullerton as my new companion. He is a great missionary. We were actually in the MTC at the same time which is pretty cool. He left a week before I did because the different missions have different transfer schedules. I will say it has been a big learning curve because I am not used to the rules in this mission. It's not anything I would be against but it's different and when something changes it takes time to adjust. I have learned a good amount from him and I hope he is learning a little from me. This week was a good amount of finding. I can say I am enjoying it more and more. We have also started doing service at a place in town recently. I like it but it seems like one of the people who volunteers there doesn't like us all that much. But we will warm up to him. We are very persistent. This is a very interesting area, the longer I am here the more I grow to like it more.
There is one thing unfortunately happened this week. Our car was taken and now we are sharing a car with another set of missionaries, but there is a positive because the car we have now is a 2017 Toyota Rav 4. I like that car. It is very nice.
Also I got a free bike from a missionary but it was basically destroyed so I fixed a lot of it. I lowered the handles (bike was not made for my height), switched the seat (the seat was bent and warped), I changed the tires completely(tires were bent as if they were ran over by a car), changed the pedals (because the were loose), and put brakes on it for the tires I am using(tires belong to a different bike but was the same size). Thankfully we had a old bike on our deck to take parts from. I didn't use the old bike because a lot was missing. I liked to fix it though, it was very calming.
Last of all I wanted to include a spiritual experience. Yesterday we were trying to make our daily weekly goal to teach 4 and our daily goal to find 10 people to share our unique message with. My companion had the idea to fast for 4 hours so we could find a family. We talked about it for a bit and we decided to fast to find a family of 5 and to finish our weekly and daily goal. So we prayed and went. Within 15-30 minutes we found a family of 12! So we continued to find and we finished our goals with 2 hours before we went in. I guess the thing I took out of this experience is not to count out the options. God is gonna help no matter what and all you need is faith for miracles to flow. If you exercise your faith he will do the rest.
That's all for this week. Talk to y'all later. Bye.

Elder Moore
