10/7/2019 Week 101: 2 More Days!

The time has come. First I would like to start of by saying if anyone for some reason wants to email me still, my new email is cdm11376656@gmail.com. This week was a great week though with General Conference. My favorite talk was President Oakes talk in the first session. If you are interested go read it. My mom said this better be a great last email but I am not sure if I can do that😂. I will try. I have been thinking a lot about the last 2 years from the good to the bad to the mediocre. Last week in the temple I decided to read 3 Nephi 11 because that's when Christ came to the America's and I teared up reading the first verse where it said that they marveled at the changes that had occurred. And I related to that personally because at that moment the Lord blessed me to remember, forgive, and cherish every single millisecond of time that I had. I know that I have experienced the greatest joy of my life and nothing will surpass it until I am married and have kids. Even the times that I suffered in the negative degree cold with a bad companion, every 30 min to an hour long bike ride in 90° degree weather, every car drive, every walk, every bus, every contentious lesson I would give all I have to experience again. I love my mission and I love the people and I love God more. I have given a 10th of my life so I can help others change theirs. I will always remember the smiling faces and tear filled sincere prayers. That will be in my heart till the day I die and even on to eternity. Thanks for all the support and emails for the last 2 years. I needed them the whole time. Talk to you all soon. BYE!

10/2/2019 Week 100 (Part 2): Temple Day

Hello everyone. Sorry I didn't email on Monday we moved our pday to today so we could go to the temple. This last week was good though we had zone conference and it was a mission tour so Elder Bassett of the 70 came out and talked to us. The I went on exchanges in a trio companionship with the zone leader and district leader so that was a blast. Then yesterday we put someone on date for baptism. I won't be there but I don't need to be. They progress at there own speed and I am just happy they are making the commitment to grow. I had a departing interview with the mission president yesterday as well which was okay. Just talked about my plans and how I will reach them. All in all this week has proven to be a part of a great conclusion to my mission. I have been able to learn a lot and one of those things is to accept when the time is right to let others take the preverbal reigns. Though I will still be a missionary in heart and mind I will be able to progress like the people I have met. I think I am ready to go home honestly. I remember my call said a period of 24 months, no more no less and I have been able to accomplish that. Talk to yall later. Bye

9/30/2019 Week 100 (Part 1): 9 Days Left

9/23/2019 Week 99: 16 Days Left

Hello everyone, this week was good like most of them are. Did some finding and had some lessons of of course. We fed so many ducks this week. I have made an army. They will fly me home. I also got an email with all my flight info so that kinda stunk but oh well. I finished reading the book of Mormon again for the 4th time on the mission but I don't think I will be getting to squeeze a 5th time in. We did service this week trying to install an invisible fence for a members dog but surprisingly the ground was so hard we couldn't put it low enough or the dog would dig it up. But that's really all for this week. Talk to you later.

9/16/2019 Week 98: 23 days left

Hello everyone. Good week. Lots of food was included so that's great. We had a family home evening in the ward we're I ate about 3 plates of food. Then 2 days later there was a birthday for a member at the same place so I ate another 3 plates. Then we also had Interviews this week so we packed 6 Elders in the car and drove to Fishers so that was fun. Then we drove back with over 20 loaves of bread. Then of coarse through out the week we worked and I fixed my bike. So everything is back to order. Talk to you next week.

9/9/2019 Week 97: Even More Better and better and better.

This week was a good week everyone. Started of with my companion and I going to dinner with his uncle (got permission) so my companion could be given money for a bike. So we went to the center of Indianapolis to a buffalo wild wings. Then we had a 2 day long exchange. So I was with Elder Utsch in Indy 2nd area and my companion went with another trainee to get a bike. Then the next day my companion and I were riding bikes and I back tire popped a hour away from home so we had to walk home so I could fix it. Then the next day we were invited to a members family home evening. So we had dinner and played monopoly. And thats all the exciting things that happened this week otherwise we were finding. Talk to yall later. Bye!

9/2/19 96: Bless them to be better and better and better.

This week was a weird week. We did a good amount of walking and my first day in the area I stubbed my toe, lost the nail, and hurt my ankle so that was funny. Then we helped members all week from helping someone move to even house work for busy members. Then we of coarse we taught some investigators. So It was a good week. Lots of fun, Lots of pizza. Thats all for this week. Bye!!

8/26/2019 Week 95: Transfers

I am being transfered one last time. I will be training a missionary in Beech Grove, it's in Indianapolis. I am tired of packing especially for a six week period. But it's okay, just a part of life on the mission I guess. I had 2 exchanges this week both in this area. So I was with Elder Hales and Elder Solante again. Then today I went to notre dame again and took some pictures. Had some sushi for lunch. The works. Knocked so many doors its funny. And taught our last lesson in this area so that was fun.

8/19/2019 Week 94: No Joke

Quick email because the computers are down. This week was pretty slow, we had zone conference. Then we had a lot of dinners with the members this week because we are getting them active in missionary work without them knowing. Then today was pretty fun, we went to a car museum and it was pretty cool. Didn't find anyone this week really and nobody came to the ward picnic or church so this week was the worst in the area so far. Talk to you next week. BYE!

8/12/2019 Week 93: What Happens When You Boil A Funny Bone?

It becomes a laughing stalk. This week was fun. Pretty successful week. We had a bunch of people at church. Then we had exchanges this week and we had a chance to pass out as many cards as possible. We passed out over 120 cards in one day. Plus finding and teaching so we were pretty busy. Then we got our suits dry cleaned. Then we went to a zoo today. It was pretty trash but like the fun kind of trash. The Lion looked like it was on drugs. Thats all for this week. Talk to you later. bye!

8/5/2019 Week 92: What Did The English Teacher Do While Camping?

He walked past-tense. This week was good. We did a good amount of biking so my legs have got used to it. We cleaned our car. Cleaned our apartment. Our water heater went out 2 times this week. Other than that we were finding. We found 3 new people to teach. No body came to church. I also went on exchanges. I went to Plymouth Indiana with Elder Solante. IT was a very empty area so it was a little difficult to find but it was still possible. But thats really all that happened this week. Talk to yall later. Bye.

7/29/2019 Week 91: What Kind Of Tea Did American Colonists Like?

Liberty. Hello everyone. This week was very slow. It started off with me being sick for 3 days. Then finally we were able to go finding. We didnt find anyone though until Saturday when we found 7 people. Then you wont believe what happened, we ran out of supplies so we were heading home and we get rear ended. And it tore the back corner of our car off. nobody was hurt thankfully but it was just another slap to the face because of how slow this week was. The car is still drive able though. We also went to a funeral that same day. A member unfortunately passed away so we helped the family. Then Sunday was church and we had an investigator come so that was good. Then this morning we went to Notre Dame college and got to go to mass at the cathedral. IT was a little weird. But interesting to see how other churches work. Beautiful building even with all the great and spacious jokes aside it was still nice.

7/22/2019 Week 90: No Jokes Today, I'm Busy

Hello everyone this week was good, I am in a new area now. I am in South Bend. My address is 1421 Northside Blvd Apt 414 South bend, Indiana. We are a biking area so I am making the goal to get as fit as possible in my last 3 months. We also had the opportunity to put somebody on date for August 24 so that's exciting. Last of all we have been cleaning up a lot in our apartment because missionaries trashed it. Talk to you later. Bye.

7/15/2019 Week 89: What Do You Call A Dentist In The Army?

A drill sergeant. Hello everyone this week was a good week. Multiple things have happened but the most notable is that I am being transfered again. I thought I was gonna stay in this area for the rest of my mission but I guess not. I will be going to South Bend 1st ward with Elder Alverez, another double transfer but this time both out of an area and into another. I have said goodbye to a lot of the people here that I have grown close to but not everyone yet. This morning we had probably the best breakfast I have ever had with a friend of ours, I can't remember what all he put in it but it was malted caramel waffles with strawberry sauce, bananas, and whipped cream with cinnamon on top with bacon and hash browns on the side. So good. I can't laugh without coughing because I ate so much. I was also given a Book of Mormon from some members here that was printed during WWII for military personnel. Talk to yall next week! Bye.

7/8/2019 Week 88: You Know What They Say About Sign Language?

Its pretty handy. This week was a good week. We did a few things. First we had exchanges on Tuesday. I went to Fort Wayne with Elder Turley. He happens to be my 3rd cousin and lives in Arizona. We did a lot of biking until I popped the tires on the bike I was using twice on the way home so we got a ride to the rest of our appointments. I also ate some pretty bomb tacos. Then on Friday we got to meet the new mission president. President Paige. He is really nice and I am excited to serve around him for my last 3 months. Thats all for this week. Talk to you later.

Exchanges with Elder Turley

7/1/2019 Week 87: No Pun

Couldn't think of one this week. This week was okay. Nothing big happened except we put another person on date for baptism in September. Also we got a new mission President yesterday. But that's all. Haven't gone to the obstacle course yet but I will after this. This week was fast though. It went by in the blink of an eye. Most of it was just finding.

6/24/2019 Week 86: I Ordered 2000 Pounds of Soup From A Chinese Store

It was Won Ton. This week was a little slower thankfully. We had exchanges with the Zone Leaders and I stayed here with Elder Lindstrom. We also had a really bad rain storm that day and the roads were not safe to travel on until later that day. Then we went to a baptist church today because the have an obstacle course so we did that. Might do that again next week if we dont have rain. Had a few lessons like always. Dinner appointments out of the wazoo. Great week. Love this area. Love my Mission. Talk to yall later.

6/17/2019 Week 85: I Looked Up Lighters On Ebay

All I found was a bunch of matches. Good week! We had a baptism on Saturday. No pictures because of privacy. But it was a good event we had 4 non members show up for the baptism. 3 of them were her friends and the last one was our friend. Then yesterday I got a present for fathers day from the ward even though I don't have children. It was a donut. Amish crack (donuts nickname). It was so good. I might get some more soon. I live close to a store so maybe Wednesday when we drive up there I will get that. The thing is the donut melted in the bag and carmelized so it wasnt as good. Thats is really all that has happened this week. Talk to yall later.

6/10/2019 Week 84: Did You Hear About The Guy Who Was Fired At The Calendar Factory?

All he did was take a day off. This week was one of the most busy weeks of my mission. We had a bunch of lessons and our investigator is being baptized on Saturday so we have been trying to get that all situated. Then yesterday was great because we were given a free gallon of chocolate milk. Then last of all for this week. I am on crutches because my left foot swelled up and hurts to walk on. Don't know how it happened but it wont stop me from using the last 4 months of my mission to find as many people possible.

The picture is mint soda. Tasted like fizzy mouth wash.

6/3/2019 Week 83: A Joke About An Elephant Being Ridden By A Horse.

That joke was given to me by a 4 year old. Hope you enjoyed it. I had a fantastic week. I fell in a pond so that's fun. Our investigator is progressing great. We also had transfer calls and we are staying. For another 6 weeks. Also we had some pretty bad storms 3 tornados landed near by and pasted us. We got surrounded for a good few minutes. It was scary for a minute but you can't help but laugh at your self when you are hiding in a bath tub.

5/27/2019 Week 82: Why Do Scientists Not Trust Atoms?

Because they make up everything. Hello every one. This email will be short. Great week. Put another person on date for the 15th next month. Had exchanges with an Elder that went to rival high school as me so we knew most of the same people. It was fun. We also had zone conference this week and it was a 2 hour drive into Michigan before 9 in the morning so my sleep schedule has been off for a week. Big storms this week have lead to a few tornado watches so thats exciting. Talk to yall later. Bye!

5/20/2019 Week 81: Why Do We Have Troops In Germany?

To keep the Russians in Czech. Hello every one. How are you.  I am good. This was a little bit of a slow week. We did do a few things. We made bread this week. That was fun, I ate most of it now. we have one loaf left. Then we got a bunch of referrals. We also went to a store called antiqueology which makes sodas as well as sells other rarer sodas and ice cream. Thats all for this week. I have a bad headache so I am gonna end here. Bye.

5/13/2019 Week 80: What Kind Of Shorts Do Clouds Wear?

Thunderwear. This week was a little bit of a slow week. After my last email we went back fishing and I caught 3 fish. Then rest of the week was crazy from Tuesday to Thursday because we  had back to back exchanges. So the first day I went to Fort Wanye with Elder Reh and did a bunch of finding and we got stuck in a school parking lot while school was being let out so we got stuck for 30 min and couldn't leave. But it was funny because we are both panicking because we thought it was gonna take longer and it would look weird for two 20 year olds guys to be there so it was funny. Then Elder Reh ( since he is from Thailand ) made some Thai food for dinner and it was super good. Then we went and taught a Burmese language class for people from Burma to learn english. It was crazy. Then the next day I had exchanges with one of the zone leaders named Elder Roundy, so we went to Wabash to tract the entire day. I learn a lot while there. For example Wabash is the first city in the world to have electric powered lights throughout the whole city. Then the next day we went back for a return appointment which fell through and we decided to stop by someone the missionaries have known for about 5 years. It was fun he took us to dinner and showed us his house he has 2 self playing pianos that he let us play with and everything. Then we went finding for the rest of the week. Talk to yall later. Bye.

5/6/2019 Week79: How Did The Picture Get Put In Jail?

It was framed. This week was a slow week. It rain pretty bad the whole time and I got sick for half of it. But that's no excuse for anything so started the week really with going to Fort Wayne for interviews and then the next day we had to go back to Fort Wayne for District Council. Then i got sick for 3 days and then on Sunday I was feeling better so we went contacting and dropped a bunch of people who wouldn't answer the door. Then we tracted. Then today we went fishing. I didn't catch anything but my companion did. We used chicken Mcnuggets and they worked pretty well. Thats all for this week. Talk to you later. Bye.

4/28/2019 Week 78: What Kind Of Phone Did Adam And Eve Have?

An Apple. This was a fun week. This area is an interesting area this week we covered two of the Huntington wards and now we just got a call saying that we are going to cover another ward and branch. Huntington 2nd will be given to the sisters and we will have Huntington 1st and the Decatur ward and branch. I have to cover 3 areas. I like this area. Its got a lot of cool stuff. There is a knife/sword store and the have some cool things. They have a real mithril (just stainless steal) sword from the Lord of the Rings, sharpened and everything. It was pretty sick. Then my companion and I have taken up to learn Japanese since its free on our phones so. We are basically the same person so this is a good companionship. We were able to teach so many people this week. It was great.  Also I added a picture of this mission. But I like this area they feed us and its great. Even though I have been here only a week.

4/22/2019 Week 77: I Don't Have A Joke This Week

This week has been a troubling week. I got sick for most of it so we didn't do much. Then yesterday we came out to the car only to find that it's so dead that the automatic lock wouldn't work. We tried jumping it with a jumper box but it dried the box in about 3 seconds and didn't help. So today we waited for a tow truck (who was late) and he got out his jump box and started the car so we drove to the toyota dealership were they juggled us around to find a place to fix our car battery. All of this before 10 am.

Also I am being transfered to Hunington. Should be fun. I know a bunch of people there already. Both me and my companion are being transfered out so we have had to clean a bunch of stuff out of the apartment that past missionaries have left. I liked this area. It was my favorite area so far. I was thinking about asking President to let me stay here for the rest of my mission but I guess not.

I am also trying to figure out exactly why I am only being called to areas that are in a 40 mile diameter. If there is someone who needs me to talk to them then they need to stop moving so I can find them. Thats all for this week. I need to pack and clean up our apartment. Talk to yall next week.

4/15/2019 Week 76: Where Do Robots Go For Fun?

The Circuits. Hello. This week was fun. Unfortunately our A/C went out at the beginning of the week in our apartment so that made everything difficult. So my companion and I came up with ideas to cool ourselves down. I filled a glass bottle with water and froze it. So I got to sleep well. My companion didn't so he will probably take a short nap while soon today.  The we had exchanges and I went with Elder Cloward and we basically did service the whole day. We started off by going to the salvation army again, where I of course did dish duty again. I didnt get as wet this time. Then after we went to a member families house to help paint some walls in there house to prepare to sell it. Then we went to the young men's activity and play giant jenga and cornhole. Then we cleaned the car for Zone conference the next day. Then we had zone conference where I got a pizookie and packages for my birthday. That was good. Then the rest of the week was the same old thing all over. Finding and knocking and talking. Thats all for this week. Talk to yall later. bye.

4/8/2019 Week 75: Why Do Candles Like Birthdays So Much?

Because they just want to get lit. It was my birthday this week. It was fun. I got food. I ate food. I ate more food. I ate too much food. I didn't regret doing it. A typically birthday I might say. Tuesday was really nice out so my companion and I went and got some ice cream at a shop that just opened up. It was good. Most icecream tastes the same as always. Still good though.  But most importantly we had General Conference this weekend. We went to a members house for  the Sunday morning session the the rest at the church. I not sure what talk stood out the most. liked them all. But I remember the Sunday morning one the most because we had some really good food. We had so spring rolls, crab sushi, Hawaiian style wings, then some vegetables. That's all for this week. Bye.

4/1/2019 Week 74: Why Does A Moon Rock Taste Better Than An Earth Rock?

Because it's a little meteor. Hello everyone. This week was a blast. We had exchanges and I went to Logansport with Elder Harris. While there we went to a nursing home and did "service" where we played Bingo with the senior citizens. I won 3 times and got a stuffed octopus. I named it Ammon because of all the arms. Then later we had dinner with a member at some hipster restaurant called Voodoo and I got Duck wings. You can tell that it was in pond water all its life, the wings were very slimy but still very good. The next day before we switched back we went to the salvation army and volunteered for service at the food pantry. We had to wear some really flamboyant aprons while we were there but me and Elder Harris rocked it obviously.  I was in charge of cleaning all the dishes. By the end I was completely soaked with dish water. Apron didnt help keep food off me at all so I had to go another 30 minutes until we got home from exchanges to change into dry clothes. That is why I currently have a cold. Last of all yesterday I realized how long my hair is and spiked it straight up. I will get a hair cut soon but it was pretty long. Talk to yall next week. Bye.
